The pandemic has taught about the importance of virtual office management and work from home-based concept where the companies rely mostly on keeping the employees safe and productive at the same time. Work from home (WFH) has emerged as a strategic organizational practice that aligns with modern management priorities. Companies increasingly adopt this model to enhance operational efficiency, reduce overhead expenses, and optimize the utilization of human capital. By allowing employees to work remotely, firms gain access to a broader talent pool, transcending geographical constraints and fostering diversity in the workforce. WFH also supports employee engagement by promoting autonomy, flexibility, and improved work-life integration, which in turn contributes to higher productivity and job satisfaction. Moreover, in times of uncertainty, such as health crises or market disruptions, remote work ensures business continuity, making it a sustainable and competitive advantage in today’s dynamic business environment. Hence a study regarding the employee performance when work from home concept is introduced in software sector is need of the hour to analyse how well the HR resources are used and this in turn has been a part of a larger study for the researcher.
